Tempest
© 2002 Sheila D. Hardie. All rights reserved.
Fleeting moments,
Memories past;
Teardrops fall like
Broken glass.
Morning aft a
Moonless night;
Dreams and nightmares
Come to light.
Sorrow, fear and
Dread remain
Where once were lives
Devoid of pain.
Remember, though,
Each rainbow needs
The thunderstorm
To sow its seeds.
Hope and Freedom
Will prevail
Long after Tempest,
Storm and gale.
