To Love Again

Love will last until forever,
That's what we always hear.
To love and lose is always better
Than to live without, in fear.
I always thought that was cliche'
But now I must agree
To know you was to love you -
You meant the world to me.
We rode along the moonlit paths
On balmy summer nights,
Astride your strong yet gentle back
I felt the breeze of Life.
To let you go once and for all
was death, my faithful friend...
Yet in my dreams, I hear you call
And know we'll ride again.
For Hurricane...
